MESSAGE FROM YUSUF CHAMBERS ON THE GROUND IN MOROCCO 

Today I am very upset. After distributing aid at a village in Morocco which was affected by the earthquake and filming the video below, the wonderful Moroccan children came to thank me and they were so grateful, just like the Syrians, Yemenis, Rohingya, Pakistanis, Afghans and all others who I've had the pleasure of helping over the years. 

One of the brothers took a lovely photo of me and a young child, like my granddaughter with a lovely smile on her face, and this photo went up on social media along with our distribution videos. Within a few hours, some liberal Moroccan propoganda pages decided to edit my photos and throw crazy accusations and terrible insults my way. They had millions of followers so many from their audience pounced on my social media channels to drop some very negative and disheartening comments. 

Inna lilah wa ina ilayhi rajioon. When I accepted Islam more than 30 years ago, I made a pledge to serve Islam and serve the ummah in any way possible and Allah knows I have the purest intentions to do this. 

I am aware that these people are a very small number compared to the large and very wonderful population of Morocco, especially those in the villages who were so hospitable to us even though they'd lost everything. 

I WILL NOT LET THEM STOP ME! 

I will keep doing what I am doing to help the poor and suffering around the world. Please support this cause to assist the earthquake victims, help us give out humanitarian aid and please show me that you care as much as I do for the ummah of rasul Allah s.a.w.

A huge 6.8 magnitude earthquake has struck Morocco before midnight on Friday the 8th of September, killing thousands of people. Sadly, the poverty-stricken areas have been impacted the most, so many who were already destitute and are now living on the streets waiting for aid.

One Ummah aim to immediately respond in the form of tents, housing, food packs, clean drinking water, hot meals, hygiene kits and blankets.

Our partners were on the ground as the earthquake struck. Our ambassadors Yusuf Chambers and Sh McCarthy are in Morocco right now delivering your aid. 

Sadly, more than 2000 have died and many people are injured whilst thousands are displaced, calling out to humanitarian organisations for help. They're cold, hungry and in dire need of aid.

The situation is extremely pressing. People are struggling for medication, blankets, food, water and adequate shelter whilst the death toll is rising by the hour. We need your assistance so we can relieve the distress of our brothers and sisters in need.
